A Great Place to Live...An Investment for a Lifetime

National Night Out--A Great TIme!
The 2007 HMHA Annual National Night Out was a great success! We owe a debt of gratitude to Jerry & Dede Jackson, who hosted the event in their front yard, complete with soft drinks and pizza. The kids had a great time with the Dallas Fire Department personnel and their truck, as well as with the Dallas Police officers and their car and its very loud siren. Sandy Knight was able to generate a lot of interest in neighborhood activitities. A group of ten people at the gathering agreed to meet for dinner on Friday, August 10 at Queen of Sheba restaurant in Addison for our second Ethnic Night Out. If you missed National Night Out, don't despair...there will be plenty of opportunities to get together with your neighbors. Just watch this website...and feel free to call any officer to volunteer to organize an event.
Ethnic Night Out on a Roll!
Ethnic Night Out--Queen of Sheba Restaurant
Group enjoys second Ethnic Night Out
Hillcrest Manor's second Ethnic Night Out was held on August 10 at Queen of Sheba, an Ethiopian restaurant on Inwood Road just south of Beltine, in Addison.  Randy & Judy Achten; John Swinburn; Janine Bethscheider; Sandi Knight and her son, Zach, and his girlfriend; Jennifer Beckham; and Richard and Nidal Dalal gathered for a taste experience.  The next (and all future) Ethnic Night Out will be announced on the Hillcrest Manor website.  If you're interested in meeting your neighbors and  joining us for an evening of good food and interesting conversation, just get in touch with John Swinburn or Sandi Knight.
Volunteers Needed!

Hillcrest Manor needs volunteers!  Whether you can contribute one hour a season, two hours a week, ten hours a month, or any other amount of time, we need you!  Here are some opportunities for you if you're interested in volunteering to make Hillcrest Manor a better place to be:

  • Website maintenance
  • Landscape maintenance (at the entrances to Hillcrest Manor)
  • Social event organizers
  • Website advertising sales (to keep our homeowners association dues low)
If you're interested, please send an email to John Swinburn
A Bit About Hillcrest Manor

This is the home page for the Hillcrest Manor Homeowners Association, (HMHA), located in far north Dallas between Hillcrest (on the west) and Meandering Way (on the east) and north and south of Campbell Road.

Annual Membership Dues Notice
Dues notices were mailed at the end of February to all households in Hillcrest Manor and we encourage every single household to participate with their fair share.  Dues are ridiculously low...just $50 per year...for all the services they provide:

City of Dallas Water Utilities: For landscaping located at neighborhood entrances
Landscaping: Upkeep of landscaping at entries, including mowing, trimming, and planting
Crime Watch: Membership in Dallas Crime Watch Program, plus related expenses like our Crime Watch telephone alert
Supplies: Even volunteers have to make copies, buy envelopes and stamps, mailing labels, etc.

Beyond that, though, we've managed to do things like maintaining the brick retaining walls on Campbell Road with very little in the way of assessments.

Your dues are vitally important to helping keep our neighborhood the fine place it is.  Let's get 100% participation in 2007!

Please mail your check for $50.00 annual dues, payable to HMHA (and if you want to contribute more to help us build a larger, more robust reserve, by all means do!), to:
